Aurora

Aurora and Area, close women from totally different worlds and with a great age difference between them, establish a strong relationship of intimacy, trust and deep conversations linked to death, family, war and women role.

The director spends significant amount of time with the protagonist resulting in a tender portrait. We get to know a lady who lives on her own with animals in quite harsh conditions. The last part reveals subtly the reasons of her life situation without victimising. The film honours a person that has been completely forgotten by everybody which allows a warmth and love into the camera frame.

The Q&A with the director will be led by a film producer Ieva Ūbele.
