Mie passed away on the 19th September 2018 due to cancer at the age of 45 in Kamakura, Japan. She was diagnosed with stomach cancer in May 2017 while she was pregnant. She started treatment immediately after giving birth to her son Terasu, however, she passed away three months after Terasu’s first birthday. This film was created based on pictures and videos taken by her husband Daijiro using his smartphone almost everyday for two years after the diagnosis.
